A long-hoselled (4.5") model 18 mashie niblick in rustless metal from the London works of this famous Montrose firm. The reverse has a multitude of stamps, "Warranted", "Hand Forged", "Rustless Iron", the Winton diamond cleekmark, "Mashie Niblick 18", "Grip" (in a circle, significance unknown), "Special" and, in the centre, "W Winton (in signature) London". The face has an enclosed hyphen pattern.

The hickory shaft has the slightest sideways bend, which might rule it out for competitive play, and is topped with a soft black leather grip which is probably original.
