A lofting iron which appears to be one of the earliest clubs from Brand's Carnoustie workshop. Smooth-faced with a "C Brand Carnoustie" stamp in ovoid form on the reverse of the clubhead. A few dings on the bottom edge of the club, consistent with its purpose and age. Straight hickory shaft, also stamped with Brand's name, and topped with an old sheepskin grip.
