A Forgan brass putter from the end of the 19th century marked with the Prince of Wales feathers on the reverse of the solid brass head beneath “R Forgan & Son St Andrews” in oval form. The face, as is normal for putters of this period, is smooth.

The dark-stained hickory shaft has a very slight lateral bend and is stamped with the Forgan details below the soft black leather grip.
