Carnoustie smooth-faced putter for India
Walter Locke and Co
A smooth-faced putter with an early moon and star cleekmark from the forge of James Gourlay. Below that is a form of the "accurate arrow" I have not come across before which will be one of the earliest uses of the device.
It is also stamped with the retailer's name "Walter Locke & Co Calcutta and Lahore" in an oval so from before the date of their opening of a Delhi branch. Below that is "Warranted Hand Forged".
A black leather grip sits atop a straight hickory shaft.
