Forres scareneck driver
Maker: Charles Fraser , Forres

A late small-headed golden persimmon spliced-head driver from Charles Fraser at Forres, one of many clubmakers and professionals to be killed in the First World War.

The crown is stamped "C Fraser" and the club is protected by a short horn slip secured by three hickory dowels.

The hickory shaft is straight and the whipping on the original sheepskin grip (with woollen listing below) and the scare is also probably the original.
