A bulldog-style spoon with its characteristic short wide head and curved sole. Many had bare soles but this has a full brass soleplate fastened with six screws. It is further protected by a black fibre slip. In excellent condition, the persimmon head is stamped "P G Wyatt" (in signature) and this is picked out in gold paint. A good straight hickory shaft ends in a soft black leather grip.
