![]() Clubmakers Andrew King Mildenhall Andrew Manzie King, was one of several golfing brothers, the eldest son of Tom King at Brancaster. After leaving Brancaster he was appointed as professional to Royal Worlington and Newmarket at Mildenhall in 1914 but enlisted in the Norfolk Regiment in November of that year. He was later transferred to the 1st Battalion, Essex Regiment. He was reported missing on 14 April 1916 but then, after 3 months, news came that he was a POW in Germany. He wrote regularly to his parents from the POW Camp. However, it was then reported that he had died in the camp on 15 August 1917. He is buried in the Berlin South Western Cemetery at Brandenburg.
