![]() Clubmakers J F E Ackerley Cheadle ![]() He was still living with his parents at the time of the 1911 census and is shown as a packer at the local bleach factory. The 1901 census shows he had five siblings. First a driver in the Royal Field Artillery, he was promoted to Bombardier (the artillery equivalent of corporal) and was killed on 1 May 1917. He is buried in the Menin Road South military cemetery in Flanders.
