F H Ayres
London
F H Ayres One of the first companies in Britain to sell Schenectady putters with their own version, the Tru Putt, having a fibre face. Also known for the Vaile swan-neck aluminiium putter.

They started off selling sporting goods as early as 1810 and added golf clubs to their line in the mid-1880s.

At the Fifth International Golf Traders' Exhibition at Hoylake in 1913 they were promoting Deltoid clubs, designed and invented by Mr F Cheshire, which they claim 'are the only really scientifically constructed and balance heads on the market'.

They were also showing Trusite irons developed by Ralph Smith.
