Clubmakers Simpson's Sports Emporium Aberdeen A long-established sports shop in Bridge Street in Aberdeen (beside what is now the side entrance to the Trinity Centre). It seems to have been taken over by John Simpson and Son when both Alec Marling and George Smith enlisted in 1915. The new owners kept on J G Barbour, who had worked for Marling and Smith, as manager.. Marling and Smith called the shop Sportsman’s Emporium and the name did not immediately change to reflect the new ownership. The notice of sale in the illustration is from November 1972.
