Clubmakers Finnigans Ltd Liverpool/Manchester Finnigans was a department store which started as a trunk maker in Manchester in 1830 and later expanded to Liverpool and London. They had a Bond Street shop in London until 1968 and a smaller one for the Sloane Rangers which kept going until 1984. Better known for luxury silver items, in their heyday they had their own club and ballmaking staff. Indeed, the Manchester store in Deansgate had a ‘golfing school’ within it and in 1914 they offered free practice in it or lessons from the professional for 1s 6d.
