Antique Golf Clubs from Scotland
Clubmakers
Gordon Stewart
Aberdeen
Another of the neglected clubmakers of Aberdeen who came from initially making fishing rods (like Sandison , Calder, and Munro) and supplying tackle. He had his shop in Frederick Street and an advertisement for its lease for at least a year was published in the Press and Journal in July 1819.

In addition to the turning loom and dishing rods and tackle, the stock-in-trade included golf clubs and balls. The advertisement also mentions the premises had been occupied for many years by John Lumsden who will likely tutn out to be another Aberdeen clubmaker.
