Clubmakers D G Robertson Edinburgh/Kinghorn David Grindlay Robertson had a workshop in Tarvit Street, beside the King's Theatre in Edinburgh, in what is now Burlington Bertie's pub. He was clubmaster to the Baberton club for 16 years and I have seen irons of his marked for Baberton Golf Club. In 1895 he patented a driver with a leather head. When William Binnie emigrated to South Africa in 1912, Robertson took over his clubmaking businesses in Kinghorn and Burntisland and his duties as professional at Kinghorn.
