A H Scott Royal Warrant driver
Maker:
A H Scott
, Elie and Earlsferry Date: 1917
A very nice looking driver from a famous Elie clubmaker.
It features a through-hoselled shaft with the particularly Scottish ‘slice of pie’ partial brass soleplate and additional protection provided by an ebonite slip.
The crown is stamped with “A H Scott Elie” in an oval and one of Scott’s royal warrant marks as supplier to King George V, a lion above the royal crown. All these stampings are picjed out in gold paint.
The hickory shaft is straight and ends in a very nicely formed top. It carries a replacement suede grip.
