Waggott brass putter
Maker:
Thomas P Waggott
, Musselburgh/Aberlady Date: 1895
An eye-catching, as all brass putter are, but fairly workmanlike putter from Thomas Waggott, made in the mid-1890s so potentially from Edinburgh, Musselburgh or Aberlady.
A heavy head, in a form used from the 1880s onwards with “Waggott” stamped vertically on the back.
The hickory shaft is straight and the sheepskin grip probably the original.
Price $180.00 Reference: PUT503
