Winton ladies' putter for Robert M Wilson|
R M Wilson
, Oban / London
A ladies’ putter made by Winton for R M Wilson, probably during his time at West Wiltshire in Warminster, with a proportionately smaller head and shorter shaft. T
The face is marked with an enclosed dot face. The reverse has Winton’s diamond cleek mark; a prominent “L” for ladies; “Putter”; the Winton model number “22” with “R M Wilson”, in signature, between “Hand Forged” and “Special”.
The hickory shaft is usable and carries a slightly textured brown polished calfskin grip, probably a 1920s replacement.
