Tom Watt putter
Maker: Tom Watt , Bridge of Weir
Date: 1908

Tom Watt produced, or had produced for him, a range of clubs commemorating his appearance in the Scottish professional team against England in 1907-1908.

This is the putter in that series, stamped “Tom Watt” (in signature) above “Scottish Internst 1907-1908”, “Warranted Hand Forged” (in oval form) and a cleek mark of a crown surrounded by “Royal Crown Brand”.

The head and hosel is of a wry-neck form and the face has a hyphen pattern enclose by decorative bars.

The club has a dark hickory shaft with probably the original black leather grip.
