Solid brass putter
Maker: David Anderson and Sons , St Andrews
Date: 1906

Solid short-hoselled (3½” imch) brass putter from from a famous St Andrews family business. “D Andersom & Sons St Andrews Scotland” clearly stamped in an oval on the reverse of the clubhead.

The shaft has a very slight St Andrews bow if you believe that nonsense i.e. it curves slightly back towards the player. What this really means is that it was made by a proper clubmaker who looked at the grain to determine that if the shaft warped slightly it would be in that backwards vertical direction so as not to affect the playability of the clubs.

It has a nice built up thick black leather grip, in excellent condition and probably the original.

Price $225.00
