No sooner do I describe a D & W Auchterlonie club on the site stamped for North Berwick as 'relatively rare' then along comes another one! They are, though, relatively rare given that they were only made between 1907 and 1911 when they operated their summer shop in the town, David making clubs, Willie giving lessons.

This smooth-faced club is stamped "D & W Auchterlonie" (in oval form) on the reverse of the head above "Warranted Hand Forged", also in oval form.

There is also a very small stamp, "Auchterlonie St Andrews" peeping out below the polished black leather grip on the shaft.
