Sunningdale brassie
Maker:
Jack White
, London/Gullane Date: 1922
A beautiful club as one would expect as, not only was Jack White Open Champion, he was also a master clubmaker making clubs for Bobby Jones and winning the Silver Medal for his driver and brassie at the International Golf Exhibition.
Stamped on the persimmon crown, "Jack White Suningdale", the club has a full brass soleplate, secured by six screws, and a relatively light lead backweight.
The golden hickory shaft is stamped "Jack White Special" just below the original suede grip and red cloth under-listing. A most elegant club to grace any display
