Gem putter

J & W Craigie
, Montrose Date: 1912
The concentric blade of the Gem was an attempt to concentrate maximum weight behind the sweetspot and the curved back and shallow face make for an eye-catching display club.
This one was made by the Craigie Brothers in Montrose and has both the firm's cleekmarks on the reverse, the Comet mark between "J & W Craigie Montrose" in an oval and, on the lower left, their Rifle mark. The head is also stamped "Gem Putter" and "Warranted Hand Forged". The face has an enclosed line pattern.
