Quite an exotic looking club this one, as the head seems to have been treated with one of the early rustproof treatments. It has done its job but has worn and oxidised unevenly causing reflections of many colours to come from the head. The face has a hyphen pattern in between two decorative bars. The reverse is stamped with J H Taylor's signature and, additionally, "Cann & taylor", "Warranted Hand Forged", "Autograph Reg No 303865/CS" (Cann & Taylor were one of the first clubmaking firms to understand branding and its protection) and "Mid Iron".

The good hickory shaft is also stamped with the maker's name and Taylor's signature below the original black all-weather grip.
