Deep faced mashie

A sturdy, large-faced mashie with simple dot-pattern face made by Spalding for the West of England professional, B Croydon, during his time at the Herefordshire Golf Club. The reverse has "B Croydon Hereford" within a double oval, a small Spalding hammer cleekmark (in the form used only on British-made clubs), "Warranted Hand Forged" and "Deep Face Mashie".
The hickory shaft is straight and is topped with a replacement tan leather grip. A club equally well suited to play or display.
