Road Hole - St Andrews

Date: 1985

One of a limited edition of 950 prints, signed in pencil by the artist, of the 17th, the Road Hole at St Andrews. The picture, whose image size is approximately 24" x 15") is matted, wood framed and glazed, but after problems with breakages in the US, we would prefer to ship it to North America with the glass removed.

Donald Shearer was born in Kyle of Lochalsh, on Scotland's west coast, in 1925 and studied at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen. He won the Royal Scottish Academy award in 1953 and has been a regular RSA exhibitor. He is known both for his traditional landscape works and for his golf pictures which are becoming increasingly collectable.
