BGI St Andrews Model 88 scareneck spoon

A good representative club from one of America's finest clubmakers, this model is listed neither by Peter Georgiady nor in Don Paris's detailed guide tp the BGI company. The persimmon head is stamped "St Andrews Special" around the BGI "feathered arrows" mark and enclosed in an oval. It is protected by a fibre slip and a brass soleplate secured by six screws.
The original hickory shaft is in perfect condition and marked with the model number "88" and, again, the BGI feathered arrow. The worn sheepskin grip, with woollen listing below, is probably original
