Tedder scareneck spoon

An elegant spliced neck spoon from an accomplished English clubmaker working in Nottingham. The head, barely 2" across at the widest point, is dark-stained beech ,stamped on the crown "W Tedder Bulwell Forest" in an oval, all faintly picked out in gold paint. There is a black fibre slip and a brass soleplate secured by six screws.
The hickory shaft is original and in excellent condition as is the smooth but thickish red leather grip.
