As with 1868 the only absolute certainty is that, once again, Young Tom Morris prevailed. McArthur's Golfer's Annual has Bob Kirk in second, 11 shots behind Young Tom's 157 and Davie Strath a shot behind in third.
The other piece of information which comes down to us from J McBain's articles in 1903, is that Young Tom's first round included a hole in one at the 8th.
