![]() Clubmakers H J Frostick Norbury Harold Joseph Frostick was the elder brother of F H Frostick and professional at the North Surrey club at Norbury until he joined the army in the First World War. The 1911 census records him as living in Croydon in 1911 with his sister and a boarder, Tom Hobbs, a clubmaker. He qualified at Troon for the 1914 Open Championship at Prestwick, finishing tied for 50th. In the war he served as a Rifleman with the 16th (County of London) Battalion (Queen's Westminster Rifles) of the London Regiment and was killed in action on 10 September 1916. He is buried in Serre Road Cemetery No. 2 in the Somme
