Jimmy Hill
Carnoustie/Canada
An engineer, and member of Carnoustie and of New Taymouth clubs, he emigrated to Canada in April 1927 and first was the professional at Elm Ridge, Quebec, where he promptly broke the course record.

From here he moved to Gananonque on the shore of the St Lawrence River in Eastern Ontario in 1928. He must have liked it: he stayed as pro for 44 years.

He died the following year in 1973.
