Clubmakers Bob Pringle Musselburgh A Musselburgh caddy who was runner-up on his local course to Jamie Anderson in 1877 (the first of Anderson’s three consecutive victories). He had played in the 1875 championship at Prestwick but otherwise, and probably because of the expense, only entered when the Open was at Musselburgh, achieving three top five finishes. He was described in Bally’s Magazine of 1896 as ‘the great stylist of his day’ when the young Harry Vardon was likened to him. Search the catalogue for clubs by this maker | |
