Clubmakers H Dalton Harrogate/Bremen (Germany Harry Dalton began his golf career at Harrogate around 1903 where these is a report of him competing in a tournament in Trafford Park, Manchester as a ‘young professional’. In March 1907 he moved to the Withington Club where he remained as professional until 1930. It seems he also spent time between 1905 and 1910 as an instructor or professional at the Bremen club (Club zur Vahr) in Germany. This club began with a simple 9 hole layout beside the racecourse in 1895 and moved to its new location, leased land in the Vahrerstraße, in 1905 where it opened on the model of an American country club.
