Salisbury/Dinsdale Spa et
There are records of Thomson’s later career, starting in 1914 as professional at Dinsdale Spa in County Durham where he remained for ten years. However, I have seen earlier clubs marked with his name from Salisbury and, given there is a gap in the record of the Salisbury and Wiltshire club between 1903 and 1913, surmise he may have been the professional here in the first decade of the twentieth century.

He later spent a year at the now defunct Harton Moor club in South Shields between 1924 and 1925 before taking up a post at Kidderminster. He finished his career at Ashburnham, the Welsh links course in Carmarthenshire,
