J McGregor
St Andrews/Manchester
McGregor learned his trade with Forgan in St Andrews before moving south to become professional at Timperley, around 1894, perhaps simultaneously working as a clubmaker with Mitchell’s of Manchester, an important agent for Forgan clubs. In 1895 he was appointed professional to the Didsbury club. A couple of years later he was professional at Windermere.
