Clubmakers David Langlands St Andrews/Johannesburg David Langlands, born in St Andrews, served his apprenticeship with D Anderson and Sons and went to South Africa in 1913 as assistant at the Johannesburg Golf Club to another St Andrean, Laurie Waters He was later professional at the Van Ryn (now the Benoni Country Club), Parkview and Kensington clubs. In between these appointments he ran his own clubmaking business and spent some time working in a gold mine. He returned to St Andrews in 1947. Search the catalogue for clubs by this maker | |
