Peter McEwan
Musselburgh/Huddersfield

Born in Musselburgh in 1873, this Peter was the 5th generation of McEwan clubmakers. In addition to his clubmaking skills learned in the family business he was a fine player, representing Scotland against England in 1907.

He was professional at the Hesketh club in Southport between 1895 and 1919 and was married in the town at St Luke's on 3 November 1903 to Elizabeth Maud Knowles.

In 1919 he took up a post at Huddersfield which he held until his death in 1942.
