Imperial Golf Company
Sunderland
It seems hard to believe that there were two companies making aluminium clubs in Sunderland around the same period (and few, if any, elsewhere) but there is no evidence that this company, Imperial, had any connection with the Standard Golf Company. There are far fewer Imperial clubs around and, from the few we've seen, are better made or perhaps better designed than the Mills' ones. As a wild guess, the fancy name and the quality of clubs might suggest this was a premium brand of Standard Mills but, in any event it flourished between 1915 and 1921.
