David C Cobb began his career as assistant at Montrose around the turn of the century, served a clubmaking apprenticeship with Winton in the town, then moved west to become pro at Greenock in 1907. A quality clubmaker: if you remove the whipping from his socket woods they look almost like one-piece clubs.
