James Crowley
Glasgow
I believe this is the eldest son of James S Crowley. J S Crowley was an Earlsferry native but seems to have spend some time in the United States as “James R” is shown on the 1891 Earlsferry census as aged 3 but born in New York.

As he left with his father for New York in March 1901 I assume he served as his assistant at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.

James R Crowley of Barrhead entered for the second Scottish Professional Tournament in 1908. He entered for the Open Championship at St Andrews from Whitecraigs in 1910.

Barrhead is where Fereneze is suggesting he was professional at Fereneze between 1905 and 1909, Whitecraigs, in Glasgow, 1909-11 and Cowglen 1911-12
