William McEwan
Musselburgh
William was the third son of clubmaker Douglas McEwan and his wife Maria née Allan, born on 14 November 1840. The family and the business moved to Musselburgh in 1847.

He trained as a clubmaker and had presumably completed his apprenticeship given apprentice is not mentioned on his death certificate. He was living at home in High Street, Musselburgh when he met the same fate as his elder brother, Douglas, dying from tuberculosis at the age of 20 on 8 January 1861.
