Clubmakers J & A Dickson Edinburgh Brothers John and Alexander Dickson set up as clubmakers in Braid Road, Edinburgh in 1889 and later had a city-centre shop in Rose Street. In 1899 they took over the business of J & D Clark in Dunbar and became clubmakers to the Dunbar club (employing Tommy Currie as foreman). The club, however, cancelled their contract and awarded the business to Robert Auld. They patented a simplex iron in 1893 and apparently thrived. In 1908, however, the business went into voluntary liquidation. Search the catalogue for clubs by this maker | |
