Clubmakers Castle Equipment Company London Not a hickory-era maker, the Castle Equipment Company was a small producer or irons and putters working from Newington Butts in Southwark, London in the 1950s. They made the Bill Cox pendulum putter (later banned) and a set of Max Faulkner signature irons. Their mark was a chessboard style castle with the letters “CEC” inscribed within it.
