Clubmakers A J (Jack) Padgham Birmingham Jack Padgham began his golfing career as a caddy at the Blackwell club in Barnet Green in Worcestershire and the Woolacombe club in Devon. He became the first municipal professional in Birmingham when the Warley Woods course opened in 1921 and he remained there for 25 years.
