Clubmakers Gilbert Robb Edzell Born in Carnoustie in 1880, his father being the proprietor of the Golf Inn, he began his career as assistant to his uncle, Albert Robb at Lelant in Cornwall in 1901, moving with him to Royal Eastbourne, He was subsequently in Grantown and, according to his obituary, ‘in South America for a time’. He became professional at the lovely Edzell course in Angus in 1907 and remained there for 34 years until his death in 1941. Search the catalogue for clubs by this maker | |
