Davie McKay was the brother of Willie and the first to emigrate to the USA. He spent his entire career in the Pittsburgh area, spending a year at the Allegheny club when he arrived in 1908, followed by two years at the Butler Country Club and thereafter to Bellevue. He became professional at the Field Club in 1915 and remained there until 1953.
He won the Open Championship of Western Pennsylvania in 1919 and played in the US Open of 1915.
