Willie Park blade putter
Maker:
William Park and Son
, Musselburgh Date: 1900
A solid steel thick blade putter from the twice Open champion with a 4.5" hosel. Smooth-faced, as all irons and metal putters of the time were, it has a faint stamp on the reverse of the head "Wm Park Musselburgh" in an oval.
The straight hickory shaft is cleary stamped "Wm Park".
The club has a good sheepskin grip, probably a first replacement.
Obviously, with the pedigree, a good collector's club but also well suited to holing putts with a flourish.
Price $320.00 Reference: PUT440
