An elegant small-headed brassie from the first home of the great J H Taylor's clubmaking business operated in conjunction with George Cann. The beech head is stamped "Cann & Taylor Winchester" within a double oval. The slip is black fibre, above a full (extending past the back of the sole) brass soleplate secured by six screws, The neck is narrow with a 4" scare joining the head to the good hickory shaft.
The club carries most of the original sheepskin grip with a small period replacement piece added as a repair.
A collectable club from one of the most famous names in golf.
