A ladies' mashie, in very good condition and clearly stamped, in a rustless alloy from the Kinghorn factory of William Gibson. The face has an enclosed dot pattern. The reverse is marked with Gibson's star cleekmark and "Special Rustless". It has "Wm Gibson & Co Ltd Kinghorn Scotland" within an oval, "Made in Scotland", "Hand Forged" and "Mashie".

The hickory shaft is of superior quality as denoted by the shaft stamp of "Gibson's Star *" within an oval. The grip is a typical soft burgundy leather affair with a long band of fancy whipping at the bottom.
