Sayers wryneck putter
Maker: Ben Sayers , North Berwick
Date: 1915

A good example of a Park-style putter, in a ladies' version, and clearly stamped on the reverse of the head "Ben Sayers North Berwick" in an oval. Despite the Sayers name, it was, in fact, forged by William Gibson of Kinghorn, the Gibson star cleekmark clearly visible towards the toe. This is somewhat unusual: most outsource Sayers' heads came from Tom Stewart in St Andrews. There are also stampings of "Warranted Hand Forged", "Special" and "L" (for ladies'). The clubface has an enclosed dot pattern.

The hickory shaft, still straight and in good condition, is topped with a built-up two piece black grip which is probably original. An eye-catching club.

Price $165.00
