An immaculate Facet putter from the renowned clubmakers F H Ayres. Stamped for W West, professional at Woodhall Spa in the 1920s, it also has the Ayres Maltese Cross cleekmark. The "Facet" name comes from the shapes formed at the back of the clubhead by the weighting bar, one of countless attempts to concentrate weight behind the sweetspot. Original shaft and sheepskin grip.
