Frank G Renouf
Leek/Anson/Bromley
Born in Jersey around 1884, Frank George Renouf was the younger brother of T G Renouf.

He began his professional career at Leek in Staffordshire where he was between 1902 and 1905. He moved to the Anson club in Manchester until June 1907 when he took up the post of professional at the Bromley Club in Kent. The Manchester Courier reported that he had agreed to go to St Petersburg but ‘at the last moment decided to stay in England’.

I cannot find any record of him at Bromley after 1909 but he enlisted in the local regiment, the 6th East Kent (The Buffs). Initially he was reported missing and a piece in a Kent paper seeking information noted he had been one of the professionals at Sandwich when war broke out. The 'missing' status was later changed to say killed in action on 13 October 1915 and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial Panel (15 to 19).
